I would go back to the doctors and ask for antibiotics,i have never heard of them being treated with just painkillers,and ive never heard of a painkiller that has something in it that treats infections. I suffer with ear infections,i get at least 3 a year and have done from the age of 2,all of them are always treated with antibiotics. I dont mean to scare you but if this infection goes untreated it could lead to a perforated eardrum which may require surgery (i had to have surgery on my left ear due to a perforation and my right ear is still perforated) or permanent hearing problems. I seriously would go back and ask for antibiotics |

A bit better! I've had a look at the packaging and the painkillers have anti-inflammatry properties apparently (according to the packaging) |
