Dear Alex,
Only just catching up with this thread, I hope and pray your Gran will recover, don't give up. A lot of older people fear strokes but they can be treated and a good recovery made now. Remember that because her speech is affected she can communicate in other ways, give her lots of touch therapy, it really works!

the latest is that she is doing fabulously!! They now don't think she had a stroke at all, but was suffering from a virus and was dehydrated. She has been up walking about the later part of this week and is communicating somewhat So thank you all for your good wishes xx
