Terrific Thursday

No reason why terrific apart from everyday should be allowed to be called terrific every now and again.

Well as normal here just off to bed, took Bella out and had toast marmite.
Oh booked a cottage in almost North Wales for November as Bella does not like fireworks decided we will go away so booked a remote cottage (really remote) http://www.sykescottages.co.uk/cotta...tage-4422.html for 10 nights.

Pamela - hope Harris is a little better did you get into the vets? Did you find another trainer for Barney (might have missed it - I can do at times)

P.P get cheaper collars........hope all is good with you and Ceri.

Angie - Congratulations on Monty's clear round rosette, did you watch Dr Who...........what do you think to the new Doctor? I am waiting to see.

Shelley - have a good trip to Scotland.....will you be taking the dogs? I assume so.

Re: Terrific Thursday

Morning Kazz and those to follow. I lime your idea of the remote cottage!! I have no idea how barney will be on bonfire night. We are staying in anyway.

Harris cystitis has flared up so he got a meta am injection and an antibiotic injection. Still picking at food but hopefully once he pees he will feel better. Back to the vet tonight for a check.

Barney is going to dog school now on a Thursday. He did well last week but snapped at another dog right at the end!! He will learn though and the classes should help socialise him.

Re: Terrific Thursday

Afternoon all - lovely sunny day here, washing out on the line. I've taken Kizzy to the vet this morning, will update the thread.

General tidy up and more housework today.

Love the idea of remote cottage Kazz, though I hope you are not going alone (albeit with Bella)??? Just the sort of holiday that would appeal to us with Monty and Dora.

Pamela, I hope Harris picks up quickly. Has the vet said anything about his diet? Glad Barney is going to class, snapping at another dog isn't always a bad thing, could just be a warning that he doesn't want attention. Dora sometimes gets "told off" by older dogs, just to put her in her place.

Shelley glad you are safely in Scotland and hope the weather is good. I look forward to your holiday snaps!!!

Re: Terrific Thursday

Hi all! yes I agree it's a terrific day today, weather-wise it's been grand, sunny and breezy. Good washing day.

Yes Kazz i'll get cheaper collars and get the ones with a barrel attached, so I can write in them. Posh and Pearla don't go far but Pandora can be away for a few hours and she's the one that keeps losing hers, also the bell warns off the wildlife. Will check out your cottage in North Wales later.

Scotland is gorgeous and I must return there, loved the Glencoe area, such scenery to behold.

Fingers crossed Harris feels better, metacam worked for Posh for a short time when she sprained her foot- improved her appetite too.

Off to read about Kizzy, Angie, as I looked in here first.

he isnt meant to have biscuits angie but when we were trying to get him to eat we were told to give him them and they would deal with the cystitis if it flared

Re: Terrific Thursday

I only ask Pamela because my dear old Merlin had recurring episodes of cystitis and was on a high pH diet for a very long time. That can be either wet or dry, or certainly you used to be able to buy both. He had struvite crystals which aggravated his condition on occasion.

Evening everyone!
I haven't had a chance to do very much catching up
Just looked at the link to the cottage Kazz and you'll be very close to me!
I went to Scotland for the second time last month and have fallen in love! Would love to go back again soon, just a shame it's so far away!
Hope Harris and Kizzy both feel better soon xx

it turns out that it might not be that at play, vet wants to do bloods tomorrow instead of waiting until next week. he doesn't want to risk anything happening over the weekend. back in tomorrow first thing!!
