Mom's Operation

Well had a phone call today saying Mom is due to be admitted to hospital on 29th January. And the operation will be on the 3rd Feb, after this she will be able to eat more than liquidized food....as has been the case for a good few months now. She will be in for about a week following maybe more.

She goes in early to "cleanse" for want of a better description her stomach etc....and because of her health history, she then gets a gullet/stomach that may work.....YEAH.... ...hopefully that will work. Fingers crossed.

There we were waiting for a date for Dad's op for the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Mom's pops up first hope they don't clash at all with the dates as neither will do well without the others undivided support. So need one on the way to fitness while the other is operated on.

So good news here......in a way, as it’s a big operation but hopefully it will go well.

Re: Mom's Operation

Ta Angie she does enjoy a wide range but its all liquidized within an inch of its life......anything with any texture and she cannot swallow it at all.........and its getting worse they were talking of putting her back onto "feeding tubes again"
That she does not want at all....so this could not have come at a better time.

Wishing your mum well for her op Kazz, and hope your dad's one comes along just at the right time, once your mum has got over hers... wish you well too, as I know it will be a worrying time x
