Our Budgie Blue

Hiya

When my hubby and I first moved in together, the first pet we got was a budgie, which we named "Blue" (such imagination eh ) and that was over 9 years ago now and he is still looking as lovely as the day we got him.

I have no idea how old he is, I assume he was a young bird when we first got him, and I know budgies tend to have a necklace which shows age, but I have no idea about Blue's age lol.

Can anyone take a guess? he is obviously older than 9 lol! x

Re: Our Budgie Blue

He's lovely, I'm guessing he's about 12 yrs old ish
Is he hand tame? I'm guessing he is.....

Does he have a ring on his leg? If so what colour is it?

Re: Our Budgie Blue

Yes, every day when I change his food and water, I have my hand in the cage saying hello lol, and he stands on my finger, although he has never really been interested in flying much, he will all of a sudden take a little fly, but we need to get him, then take him back to the cage bless him lol.

Thanks for the guess in his age old man hehe x

Re: Our Budgie Blue

Its hard to guess his age really tbh, the fact he has a white cap means he's definately older than 4 months lol. If he has a coloured band on his left leg, that would be a better indicator of his age, breeders normally put these on.
