Our dear house guest

as you all know, we are looking after my eldest sisters very old cat, Eric for a fortnioght whilst she and her family went on holiday, and we were told that they had a feeling that his days were drawing to an end, well this morning we couldnt find Eric anywhere, we searched high and low, eventually we found him ontop of some old coats ontop of one of the wardrobes, he had obviouslly gone to a comfy spot in the night and gotten so comfy that he just slipped away, or so we presume.
All the other pets seem really sad, the dogs watched as we buried Eric in the garden. He was a good age, had a good innins, just wished he could have held out for a little more to wait till my sister and her family came home

Oh Luke. I'm sorry. But at least he was warm, happy and comfortable and amongst friends when he went.

My thoughts are with your sister who I'm sure will miss Eric dreadfully.

Re: Our dear house guest

thankyou for your condolences, sis and her family now know they rang about 10 minutes ago from their hotel in U.S to see if he was ok, they were very upset but it gave them comfort to know he was happy the eve of his death, he had had his tea, went in the garden for a wee wander in the flower beds, dosed off amonsgt the lavender and must have come in and curled up onto of the old coats on top of the wardrobe and he slipped away, a dignified way i think. See its the last of the old matriachs going now him and Balderick within a week or so of each other ...........
