Will a male cat spray

Hi all yet again. My friends took in a stray cat about 10moths old they named him marmaduke. The lovely couple who where looking after him couldn't look after another cat they are in their eightys he was a stray they looked everywhere for his owners but couldnt find them they where realy upset ot let him go they even donated some money towards his neutering and would't take no for an answer. He has gone to a good home though. He isnt neutered and dont think he his properly house trained has a little accident last night. Is there any product that would stop him spraying he hasnt yet but i am looking after him after christmas for a couple of weeks and how long should they keep him in for. He is realy handsome

Re: Will a male cat spray

Hi The best way to stop him spraying would be to get him neutered asap. He needs keeping indoors until he has been neutered. An un-neutered male of that age is prone to wander and to get into fights which may result in him catching serious diseases not to mention all the unwanted kittens he could produce..
