The new girl

DM reminded me I hadn't posted the pic of the hen we found in the field.

Here she is - looking happy and settled.

What a pretty hen! Is there some blue in her tail feathers? How's she getting along with the others?

She has some black tail feathers and a few round her neck. She has been getting out with the big girls for a few days now. She's holding her own with most of them - either by standing up for herself (risky!) or by running away (safer!)

We have a few hens that look just like her - they are Colombian Black Tails - is that what she is?

Re: The new girl

I found her in a field Pippa - no idea what she is. I had a quick google for that breed and you could be right!
