The 4 new rattie girls.

We took these girls from another rescue, because Polly was on her own after Ashely died of a pituitary tumour. They are quite young, but the rescue thinks that they will do very little rehoming before spring, which will make these girls quite a bit older. Either way we had to get some friends for Polly, we just felt a bit strange being a sanctuary taking animals from another rescue- but I suppose that is the way it should be, everybody helping each other.
Anyway, here are the girls-
Greta and Eliza,

Luna, sharing a hammock with Lucy.

Lucy,

Lucy, Greta and Luna are all very friendly, but Eliza is supposed to be a biter, however I put my hand in to her and Greta in the top picture and both proceded to groom me. Eliza did take little holds of my skin with her teeth, but because I didn't move she didn't bite.

Farthing, I cannot say honestly that I'm into rats, so I'll just say I'm glad that you've given them a nice home and that Polly will have companionship!

Re: The 4 new rattie girls.

I haven't introduced them to Polly yet, she is seperate in the bottom half of the cage. I want to give the girls time to settle and make sure they don't have any health problems and we may be taking in 2 neutered boys too, so thought we would wait and do a bit introduction all at once. The hope is that with so many strangers, Polly won't get picked on.
