Re: Broxi's been hospitalised!!

Vet has called, apologised for not doing so earlier, she has had a busy morning. Broxi is very bright and wandering around the pen looking for affection (I did warn her he is atart), he has however managed to remove his catheter at some point during the night!! Rather than do it all again she is going to monitor his urine output today and see how he goes, hoping that having had his urethra unblock relatively easily he shouldn't have any more problems. He has taken some food (the dry one she wants me to put him on now) and some water. Will call me again this evening to let me know how he is going. ((hugs)) to you all for your good wishes.

Re: Broxi's been hospitalised!!

I'm just catching up with this Alex...........poor Broxi and poor you. What a worry.

Sounds like you caught it nice and early though and that the little man will be fine. I hope he manages to pee to the vet's satisfaction and is home with you and the family soon.

lots of hugs xx

Re: Broxi's been hospitalised!!

I wondered if there might be a herbal concoction to help all these boys with their urinary problems and found this article from Dene's, one of the well known pet-herb firms. It's an interesting read and does give some suggestions for preventative dosing
http://www.denes.co.uk/advice/fact_s...and_gravel.php
Hope it might help
