update on buster and Tilly

Just a note to let you know how they are doing.
Buster
I had to up his medication as it wasnt working but it he is much better and wheezing much less now although still a bit. So the meds might have to be increased again. This can cause more problems as it might afffect his pottassium levels so I took him to the vet and thye did a blood tst to chek the levels of potasium and they are fine but his urea levels werer raised so he had to have another test to check that his kdneys weren't giving up. But that came back Ok so his kidney are still working fine. Although he is drinking alot so I got him a water fountain to help as the steriods make him very hungry and thirsty.

Tilly his still rather snotty sounding so went to the vets with buster an she is ok but was given a long acting AB jab to help her out as her immune system is so weak. The specialsit also said that I can give her one week courses of childs decongestants so she is having a course of that at the moment as well. The nasal decongestants can't be given all the time as they will cause more mucous to build up, if they are stopped also they have some side afffects but it is ok for Tilly to have one drop in alternating nostril for a week when she is very bad.

anyway that is all the news for now.

Sally
