eyes

Harris has been closing his right eye quite alot more so tonight that we have noticed. He does have an issue with a watery eye and its usually that 1 but its been ok the last few days. Not sire if him and skye have been fighting but theres no scratch or cut or if its something more. It doesnt seem to be affecting him in any way, hes still playing, eating and generally just being harris. Im finishing at 4pm on monday so maybe a trip to the vet if its still the same. what do others think?

Re: eyes

I would recommend you try bathing Harris' eye with cold tea bag ..... it might just help and would certainly sooth the eye if it's irritating him.

Monty had quite a bad case of red eye at New Year, when nothing was open so couldn't get out to buy something. I posted on the Schnauzer forum and cold tea bag was suggested. It worked a treat - people on that forum seem to swear by it for their dogs and it's always the first thing to try.

Don't forget to take the tea bag out before you put milk in and let it cool down first, it can be just warm though. Good luck.

Re: eyes

I haven't tried it as he has had it opened no problem today. Seems alot better. I did clean it last night and it has been watering a wee bit today so must have cleaned it. Still a wee bit swollen looking though but will judge it tomorrow and see how it is.

Re: eyes

So glad Pamela - maybe he just got a bit of something in there and it's gone on its own.

Remember the teabag though in case it happens again!
