Fluffy's vet visit yesterday.

Fluffy was in to be de- matted and blood tested yesterday. We cannot groom her because she is in heart failure and if she gets stressed she starts to mouth breathe. Anyway she ended up getting her belly shaved as it had matted underneath. He blood profile came back looking pretty good- she had high eosinophils and her ALT enzymes were raised, I'll worm her incase the eosinohils are due to a worm burden. I was amazed tonight when the vet called with he T4 results today- and they are normal too. I actually asked if he has the right cat, one because the results came through in 24 hours and I can't remember Fluffy ever being in the middle of the normal range.
She is a bit thin although she eats like a horse, so I need to try and fatten her up ( worming may help.)
It's great news though for our Flufty Tuft!

Bless her, dear Fluffy. I bet the vet visit stressed her out somewhat, although she's in the best place and I expect she's just glad to be home and dematted.

Very good news ref the T4 results. Maybe she'll let her ma gently brush her tum once the fine hair starts to grow back.

Re: Fluffy's vet visit yesterday.

There us no chance Fluffy will let us groom her, she came from someone with mental health issues, and Fluffy has been in care before while her owner was in hospital. She was very neglected but the owner demanded her back. When the owner died Fluffy ultimately came to us from another rescue. She loves a cuddle but purrs and growls at the same time, I think she's never quite sure how she is going to be treated- petted or thrown!
She needs to be sedated for blood tests she we time them to when she needs to be groomed too- she has to be sedated for grooming too. She's a very anxious little girl.

That's very sad to hear - but she's in safe hands now and will be given the best of care. How long has she been with you now farthing?

Gosh, I can't remember, about 18 months - 2 years, I think.
She was 12 when we took her so had endured many years of neglect.
