Gained a BT today

Well took Tess and Sal for seperate walks today - something I do often to give them individual time and on Tess's walk we "gained" a BT no idea where he came from but he was friendly and Tess nad he were playing games, no owner in sight and we had already been walking for 1/2 hour from the car the fields were empty no tree's or anything but no owner I carried on walking but he stayed with us. I stood still for about 10 minutes and still no one then we (me and the dogs) saw a group of walkers in the distance I started towards them but when I finaly caught up with them they were a group of new years day group walkers and none claimed the dog and worse none of them had seen anyone walking a BT.
Well I started back towards the car with Tess and the BT behaving as if they always walked together both off lead he made no effort to leave us. I was within about 10 minutes of the car when a tall man came into sight,he whistled and the BT ran off toward him he clipped a lead on and then came towards me I explained what had happened and it seems Ted (the BT) is 12 months old and they he and the dog have just moved from rural norfolk and the dog is used to open spaces he had a "extending lead" on by now, but he was a lovely little thing if we see him again I'll get pictures. It seems in Norfolk the chap walked him with his friend who has a Staffie - maybe thats why he latched onto us.

Thankfuly she did not show an inclination to follow his wandering ways, she is like a limpet breath and she's back at your side, unlike her sister Sal who is miles away before you can stand up from unclipping her lead.

I'm getting quite keen o Borders. My neighbour has one - Dudley - who's a real nice boy. Not crazy, but a character!

I like Borders too they are possibly the one breed of dog that may sway me from Staffies, and thats saying something. The other would be a lurcher.

Kazz - are you sure we're not astral twins or something? I sometimes wonder, when you say exactly what I'm thinking...................................
