We do indeed and are glad to offer any support and advice we can. I agree that a blood screen and possibly a fecal sample will give your vet enough information for a diagnosis and plan of treatment. As has been said, 12 is NOT old; don't give up on him, he should have many happy healthy years left.

Firstly, don't panic. I know how scary it is when a pet falls ill and you have to rely on the vet for information. Please be guided by your vet - the tests are there because your cat can't tell us exactly what is wrong and although the tests might seem extensive, they are there to help diagnose the problem.

Having said that, the problem may actually be quite minor. Or it might be something that can be controlled with medication or diet. The important thing is to stay focused on working with your vet and helping your cat regain his health fully.
