Katie Put to Sleep

Sad to announce we put Katie down yesterday evening. Her diabetes was under control but she had a major internal infection which had really taken hold. Her condition deteriorated over the last week and she was having problems with her back legs and started with eating problems over the weekend.

In one way it was a tough call, in others it was easy. She slipped away in my arms very quietly. She was 11; we got her as a rescue 7 years ago. The house is very empty without her.

Oh no. There seems to be bad news everytime I open Catsey in the mornings. I'm so sorry about Katie, you must be very upset . . . but it sounds like you did the right thing for her.

A hard decision, but what was right for her; the final gift: freedom from pain. I am so sorry for your loss; RIP, Katie.
