Its -12 outside at the moment.
I hope all the animals will be fine, 2 of the old goats have 2 rugs on and we have put a big coal fire on for the dogs after I head off to bed in a minute.

I feel guilty complaining that it's so cold here at 3 C, but that's very cold for this time of the year for us effete Easterners! That's normal late January weather, as all the meteorologists keep pointing out. Hope you're warming up a bit today, farthing!

Re: bloomin freezing.

It got down to -18 here last night, this morning it was -7 in the stables and -2 in the kennels where the rabbits and quail are- thats with some tube heaters on. Thankfully everybody was fine this morning. We are feeding extra outside and putting everybody to bed early. It is supposed to be less cold now, its -5 just now. Was a lovely clear, bright day and all the houses have huge icicles hanging off them- really pretty but will be lethal if they fall.
Hope everyone is keeping warm.
