Re: Snow in Aberdeen

I am 15 miles from Elaine and our garden and paddock look like a Christmas scene and the roads aren't gritted I am glad we have 4 x 4's or we would be staying at home!

The Clan cats are staying on the inside, the ferals have heat pads and the dogs are making snow angels!

Re: Snow in Aberdeen

About 6-7" of snow here now.
The cats are settled inside, we've taken the guinea pigs into the house so the outdoor quail can go into their hutches in the kennels. The only animals outside are the 'findhorn 4' pigs and we have packed their house full of straw, still not happy they are outside and formulating plans for them next year. The back roads beside us are awful and we needed hay and straw. We ended up getting hay from the local farmer who we get straw from. We usually get it from farmers about 10 miles away, but the roads were so bad we decide against going, we use them because they make better qualilty hay.

Re: Snow in Aberdeen

This is the dog walk, and it started belting down with snow on the way back, by the time I got back to the car, which was parked on a tarred road, the snow was 6-7 inches deep! and its still coming down now...

Re: Snow in Aberdeen

Wrap up warm. The forecast for the weekend shows more snow. We are really lucky here we've had none thank goodness.

Always a concern when you have animals to care for.
