Staircase, ladders and dogs

Well I have removed the wallpaper fom the stairs, hall and landing and done the undercoating and glossing of the paintwork. Now removing the lining paper from the walls. Which given the height of my stairase a drop of about 26ft each side both sides (not open sided) to get to the top I need a ladder a stool (for supporting the plank and a plank to reach the top This is a picture explains it better - Yes I walk along the plank....being raised by a decorator (Dad) I my sister and brother find this fine. Dave does not

Anyhow I have moved the plank/ladder/kit to the one side making it easy to go up and down the stairs I will line with linning paper this week then paper. But Tess was upstairs and decided to walk the plank no picture too busy rescuing her she could not turn round could not jump with out killing or injuring herself I think she was about 6ft up on the air had to lift her down. Dogs eh....

I'm scared of heights so I wouldn't have even been able to rescue her

Re: Staircase, ladders and dogs

I never used to be scared of heights until about 6 years ago when I fell off a chair changing a ceiling light bulb; scared me so badly (think older people, fractured hip, nursing home, die!) that I cannot go much above one step on a ladder without starting to shake! Kazz, I could not do that if you paid me a thousand pounds!

But I'm so happy you rescued Tess!!

Update this is the staicase now cmplete with paper and the newly stripped bannister rail. This goes up the staris and onto the landing. This is not as dark as its come out on this photo.
