Monday again

Afternoon all. I continue to work from home so it's become quite a habit that I'm used to now. Have moved from the sitting room to the table in the bedroom and have a nice view out over the main road!

Bit of excitement yesterday, was out gardening in front garden with younger son when there was a noise like a skip lorry bouncing down the hill (not unusual as it's a busy road), but then a screech of brakes and a metallic thunk. Jumped out of the border and to the gate to see a small black car across the road with a lorry embedded in the side!

Straight on to the phone to the police while telling the driver NOT to move the small car once the very shaken woman had got out of it.

Two lanes converge to one coming down the hill (recipe for disaster - and there've been a few), and the lorry clipped the car which spun round to the front of the lorry and was t-boned and the skip lorry noise was the car being pushed along with a squeal of brakes once the driver realised!

Nobody hurt thankfully, it messed up her car and the surrounding traffic but the police came quick and it was sorted in an hour.

Hopefully no more dramas will unfold during the coming week : -)
