Dog graves.

The place we visited on Sunday was part of "Ford Hall" ground, in the grounds we found about 7 or 8 Dog Graves. It was really poingant and quite sad, but at the same time lovely to think their pets meant so much to them, One was from 1889.

Re: Dog graves.

I think that is a lovely way to remember your pets....We have a big estate house not far from us and they have a graveyard just for their dogs, some of them date right back too..

Re: Dog graves.

My great aunt Ethel used to mark the graves of her dogs in this way in a little wood she owned. She always had black labs and I saw the graves which looked at lot like the ones in the pictures when I was a small child. Brought back memories especially of that little wood full of bluebells.

It's very touching for back them when some folks didn't have the money to bury their own family members too
