Mice don't play fair!

Since the mouse in the kitchen won't come out and play, I had get my exercise this afternoon by "killing" my blue catnip one.

Re: Mice don't play fair!

Gorgeous Leia. Is that a Liz-knitted mouse, Eileen?

Kizzy bought another one in this evening. A cute wee thing it was and full of attitude, standing up to Kizzy as it was trapped in a corner. Got her to scoot the mouse into my favourite rescue corner, where she thinks it's going to come out from behind some boxes, but there's a glass panel and I can shut her out, move the boxes gently and put my rescue tin over said mouse, slide cardboard under the tip and carefully upend it. There was mousie sitting in the bottom of the tin looking at me so bravely, not shivering like the last one. I took it outside and put it in an overgrown dry ditch. It had no visible injuries.

Kizzy on the other hand looked quite peeved as I had stolen her mouse!!! Hope Leia has better luck

Oh bless! Yes, that's Leia's favorite blue mouse from her auntie Liz. Poor Kizzy, Mum is such a spoilsport!

Speaking for Kizzy - yes, mice, voles, shrews. No rats so far!

Leia's an indoor cat, but when they come indoors she sometimes kills them at once and other times plays catch-and-release with them!!

No signs of the one she seems to think is in the kitchen ..

Perhaps it's just scent left by the previous one, Eileen?

Re: Mice don't play fair!

Could very well be. But the last time she was on mouse patrol I thought she was wrong.... I was wrong. They have such incredibly keen senses of smell and hearing!
