Re: ready salted Sunday

Bertha's passed over us at about 6am, and she brought lashings of rain and thunder and lightening, I was up out of bed, the cats were wanting to go out. When they saw the puddles they changed their minds. The chooks were quiet in the coop,so i left them there, it was dark so they didn't mind.

No plans for the day, just having lunch with my parents, then some telly and ironing this afternoon.

Loved the zoo pics Pamela, good luck with the painting.
See you later x

Re: ready salted Sunday

Morning Pamela and PP and those to paddle along later .... very wet and windy here but evidently only one clap of thunder (which I didn't notice) so Monty is OK. OH, Monty and Dora came back soaked from their walk. Very sadly it is our agility group's Summer Party today but we won't be going. No messages to say it's been cancelled/postponed though! Couple of local dog shows also on today - after some lovely weather it is really bad luck.

I have found a new inspiration for my calligraphy - don't know if any of you will have heard of an Irish man named Denis Brown - do look out for him, he's amazing - I've just received his DVDs and it has given me added oooomph!

Hope the painting goes well Pamela; enjoy your lunch and TV PP, I think I'd forget the ironing, it is Sunday after all!!!

Have a good day all - keep dry if possible.

Re: ready salted Sunday

Hi all, wet and windy here too- we don't plan to go out after the fun of getting home on Friday! Apparently a care home up the road flooded and had to be evacuated- I hope they are all OK, it must have been very frightening for them!
Not sure what to do with the day- I COULD do the housework I suppose or I could see if there is an old film on and settle down with a cup of tea. Hmmm, choices, choices.

Re: ready salted Sunday

afternoon all, very soggy here too.
I had to wear waterproofs this morning to take the dogs out.
Yesterday i caught the bus to Stranraer with a friend, it was good to get out and do a bit of shopping. On the way back the driver went the wrong way, he stopped the bus and did approx an 8 point turn on the main road :O
Today Chris and myself are out to lunch, hoping it stops raining whilst we walk to the pub.
