I'm Home!

Got back about 9:30 this morning to a normally warm house with lights .... bliss! It was a Godsend to stay at Carolyn's, but there's no place like home. Leia behaved very well, I'm proud of her; she had me a bit worried at not using the litter box, but heard a scratching noise about 2 am and there she was! I had trouble sleeping .... strange bed, soft pillow .... when we got home Leia went all over the house, apparently checking to see if everything was still OK... ?? She had a second breakfast and is dozing on the radiator again. Quite an experience for both of us!

I used Carolyn's computer briefly to check mail, etc. (didn't want to tie up her phone too long ... she's dial-up too .....) and discovered I don't really like the laptop. The built in keyboard is too close to the screen IMO, at least it made typing awkward for me. Good to find that out if and when I get a new computer.

Anyhow, good to be back, and thank all of you for the lovely messages!

Oh it is SO good to know you're home safe, and none the worse for the adventure Eileen. It's wonderful to have friends you can go be refugee with when needed, but there is nothing like your own home.

Glad all went well, despite Leia not using the tray for so long.

Re: I'm Home!

*laughs* Least she used it eventually! Sounds like she had a good time settling back home again too. It is nice seeing them getting used to their own territory again after a time away.

Hope she's still enjoying being back again.

Re: I'm Home!

Pleased you are home and all is well. A bit of excitment for Leia too it seems. Its odd not being home isn't it but a nice discovery that you do not like the laptop design, you can connect a normal keyboard to it with the usb (I think) as I add a normal mouse to mine. But if you like "desktop" computers then thats the way to go when if you replace yours.

Glad you had somewhere to go - even if only for a short period of time. Does this mean Carolyn will become a new member?
