More news from Eileen - they had a terrible snowstorm and power went off last night about 7.30pm (US time). Her house is freezing so Eileen and Leia will be staying with her friend until the power is back. Her whole neighourhood is down, as well as 49,000 others. Update! Eileen had a call from her next door neighbour to say the power came back on late yesterday afternoon. She decided to wait and stay overnight as it was getting dark and it would also give her house a chance to heat up. Leia has eaten and is staying in the bedroom, fairly relaxed but a bit spooky still. Quite an adventure for Eileen - she said she hasn't spent a night away from home since 1963!!! Let's hope she managed to get some sleep last night! |
