Eventful day

Well took Sal to pype haes pak mid afternoon before dinner and it was deserted....I wandered down to where the river/brook divides the golf course from the park....and I saw a elderly lady and a young lad about 4-5 she shouted "can you help me" I walked over and then saw what she was pointing at her husband had got stuck in the mud due to the tractors crossing th park to dredge the lake I think...but its boggy down there anyhow...normaly.

He was stuck.........I (wearing new boots, new jeans, teeshirt and stunning jacket ) waded down once he had something to hold onto ie me he was was fine and got out straight away although he had fallen over before I got there....seems his grandson had kicked the ball and he went to fetch it threw it back and got stuck.... ....he was shaken but not hurt....although is shoe was stuck in the mud I then had to retrieve it....I used "poo bag" unused over my hand to get the shoe out. They thanked me profusely and I walked them back to their car..the chap was a little shakey.

I was mud encased up to my knees...........see I can't even walk in a desserted park on Christmas day without an event.

Things do happen to you! But how lucky the couple was that it was you who came by and helped them..Good Samaritan that you are! A shame about the new boots and jeans, hope they'll clean up fine.....

Oh Kazz! What a heroine you are. Do also hope your new clothes clean up OK. What a thing to happen - good job you went for a walk in the park.

Think that requires more than walking 10ft off the path and holding out your arm..........
