oops gummy!

I had a really nice surprise on Sat night. My youngest son that works at the weekend, decided to pay for our take away meal. I had a loose crown at the front. Juring the meal I thought something was amiss. Yip I lost my front crown and swallowed it .
I booked an appointment for the dentist. He cant replace it untill April . I need an x ray as he thinks the pillar may not be strong enough to hold another tooth.
So now I have a big gap at the very front of my mouth and talk with a lisp!!!!

Re: oops gummy!

Jac - that's AWFUL!!!! I have veneers on 4 front teeth which means the actual teeth are ground down - on a couple of occasions the veneers have cracked off leaving me with a horrible stump of a tooth showing . . . the thought of that fills me with horror so you with a gap must feel so self conscious.

It's amazing how quickly you learn to talk with your lips pursed though . . .

Do you ever have those awful dreams when all your teeth are crumbling and falling out? Supposed to be a manifestation of insecurity Where did I put my blankie.......panic!!!!

Hope you get at least a temporary solution soon Jac. ?A pontic crown, fixed to a neighbouring tooth?

Sorry to hear this Jac Can the dentist not fit you in for a temporary crown until you are able to get the work done?

Re: oops gummy!

your lucky you have a dentist. I have lived here 5 years and cant find one that will take on new NHS patients. Ryan DID have one until a year ago when she went completely private. So now none of us have one at all.

hope you can get it sorted soon though, aint teeth a pain sometiems

Re: oops gummy!

He wont put a temporary crown in as he said he didnt think the post would take it. I have to wait till the 5th of April. Now the inside of my mouth is all scratched with the post . Never mind, could be worse. (dont know how). Is Azz having some fun? see the add at the bottom of the page! Thanks
