Re: Daily Shred Thread / Saturday..

Afternoon!
Bright, blue sky but chilly day here.
Have had a busy morning, doing nothing in particular, but have a lamb tagine in the oven already, have more or less finished some scotch broth soup (spotted very meaty bones on the butcher's chopping block and asked for some; no charge = free soup!) the house is tidy, the OH is out at his rugby, so I'll have a bit of time on the PC.
Have done the daily scan of the kitten-y websites but no joy.
OH's boss became a first-time daddy overnight. Little girl 10lb 3oz
- a caesarian, unsuprisingly.

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Saturday..

Afternoon all

Well I had an early night last night, and have spent most of the day in bed. Yesterday I got a sore throat.. Again I think I've slept it off (with that pot of tea I drank earlier also). Today I'm just a bit nauseated and tired... Woke about 10 or 15 times during the night..

Dogtraining starts tomoz morning.. I gotta find the energy for that.. Somehow..

Its very cold here... And windy (the wind is freezing!)

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Saturday..

Raining and dull here. I've started taking my penicillin but am still breathless and easily exhausted. Broken night again due to Dominik. Woke up with the most awfully painful wrist and knees - at 1st I thought it was a bad reaction to the tablets, but have since taken another an its not worsened . . . so excuse typos coz my right wrist is bound.

Was woken to hubby battling with Domi to get him dressed which ended up in massive row and hubby storming off in a huff.

So I have been trying to change bed linen, pack away deccies and mind mini-trouble on my own. Domi is now napping and I'm exhausted so will flop down infront of the TV shortly.

I've had better days!!

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Saturday..

Are you OK with aspirin Yola?
I think I'd take a couple with a glass of milk or milky drink, to get rid of those joint pains. Sounds like it's one of those bl**** bugs that affects joints as well as respiratory tract

DM - thanks for your suggestions; yup - I'm ok with aspirin. I have been taking soluble paracetamol but it hasn't really helped. Better stop typing too coz that certainly doesn't help!!

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Saturday..

Thanks Mags - he's pretty stoical!
The log burner is doing its stuff externally and the Lamb Tagine and Rioja is working internally, so he's pretty happy!
An hour a day on the beach or in the woods with the dog will soon loosen it up!

After all these years?
I think we know each other pretty well by now............................maybe too well - finishing each others sentences, one answering a question the other is thinking but hasn't yet asked. Oh, it's spooky at times!
