I was strong...

and resisted very well today *pats self on back*.

You see, I went to the country store to pick up a new litter box for Hestia because she's outgrown her old one but she insists on a hooded one so I had to find the jumbo size.
Well, what do I see but two little kittens in a crate for $10 each. I stopped and admired but slapped my hand away.

Then, at the checkout, the cashier asked "Any chance you'd like to add a kitten to your order?". I told her my OH would kill me but thank you anyway...and if I ever get another it'll be a male because three female kitties in one household is enough and there's enough attitude to go around already.
Then she said they were both males and told me how friendly the tabby striped one was and how the gray solid was a bit more aloof...They came from a litter of seven and it is just those two left and they really don't get enough time to play and they are lonely...etc, etc.

I picked up my order, thanked her and told her to have a good day, and drove away...
Phew. That was close.

Re: I was strong...

Well done you.

I would have had the solid grey - but then I'd not be able to leave one on its own, so I'd have to have two - Smokie and the Bandit would be in my shopping bag quick as a flash!

I must admit Iwould have been sorely tempted to have taken on both, but really not a good idea with Solomon ruling the roost! I do hope they both find a good home together, if possible.
