Finger length indicates sporting prowess?

Apparently, according to this study, if a woman's ring finger is longer than her index finger she is much more likely to be a good athlete!

Mmmm, I must be the exception that proves the rule. Mine are considerably longer (about half the length of the nail, and I am blessed with pretty well shaped long nails; well everyone needs one good point!) and I am distincly unblessed with sporting talent.

My ring finger is 1cm longer than my index finger...........I wonder if I could have been an Olympic champion if I'd known that earlier?

Re: Finger length indicates sporting prowess?

Mine is longer, but I didn't do a lot of sports, except when at school. Used to cycle cos we lived in the country and it was the best way to get around. Then , of course, I had the dobes and I used to walk 4 - 6 miles most days and race round the showring with them !! I suppose that was competative but not what you'd think was a Sport.
