Hi Steph, so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear Sandy. It must have been a real shock for you and your OH. It's a shame that you join us under such sad circumstances. It sounds like you're very attune to the needs of cats and it could be that a rescue cat is just the ticket for you. Smudgely's in the West Midlands so yes, too far for a rehome, but Southampton or maybe even Portsmouth might be able to help. My own branch in Reading usually only rehomes locally, but if you have no luck in Soton, I can ask if there is a chance of you having a local home check with your own CP branch, with a view to adopting one of our cats from here. No promises on any front, but do let me know if this suggestion might be of help. |

Hi there What a terrible story about your poor Sandy  There is a Blue Cross rescue in/near Southampton. That might be a good place to start looking? Thanks all for your comments. I'm looking forward to gettin a new cat and of course my first intention is to rescue one. I'll keep you all posted!! In the meantime, please be careful with the antifreeze, especially this time of year. I'd hate for you to go through when Leon and I did!! Steph. xx |
