Re: upset tummy

Diarrhoea?

If he were mine...& if he was bright & alert I woud do... no solid food for 24 hours - plenty of water or glucose / lectade. Then light diet & gradually wean him back onto his normal food.

how to remember to spell that word.

Re: upset tummy

Smudgely, it took me ages to remember how to spell diarrhoea, could have done with your little rhyme then! As an HCA it is a word that I need to write quite often in patients notes!!!

I agree with the others, starve for a few hours, although make sure he has plenty to drink and then gradually introduce a bland diet of chicken or plain fish and boiled rice. Check for dehydration and rehydrate if necessary.
