Update on Bernie

Just thought you'd all like to know that he is still doing fine although his breast bone seems more prominant now, as does his spine.
May give the vet a call this week just to let him know how he is and see if he maybe wants to see him for himself, but I really dont think he is in any discomfort or anything.
Will try to get some new piccies of the cats this week.

Re: Update on Bernie

Gentle hugs for the lovely Bernie-boo. Glad to hear that he's still enjoying life.

I bet you've thought of giving something like Nutrigel, although I'm not sure it would help him.

Re: Update on Bernie

Off to the vets with him shortly. Spoke to the vet on the phone this morning, he'd like to see him and check his weight etc.

Re: Update on Bernie

Bernies chest muscles are wasting away, without exploratory surgery, we dont really know why. There is the possibility that there is now a secondery tumour which is blocking the blood supply to the nerves, causing the localised muscle wastage. Thats the bad news.
The good news is that he has put some weight on and has no muscle wastage anywhere else. His breathing is fine and his heart seems fine.
So we will just leave him be and let him enjoy life for as long as he has quality.
