Re: Grooming Powder

never used it on cats. Used it on dog ages ago - elderly afghan hound of my Aunts. Thought it was ok, his coat matted easily in bits and it made it easier to detangle. I didn't like the feeling of it afterward but I do believe it kept him in better order. It groomed out quite well on that type of coat.

Are you thinking of trying it on your girls?

Re: Grooming Powder

I got some johnsons coat care dry shampoo in the end.
I plan to show Myrtle soon , see how she does in a show, i've never done anything like this before.
The grooming powder is meant to freshen her coat and make her look nice and fluffy ready for the show.
don't plan to use it all the time just once every so often.

Re: Grooming Powder

Good luck with the showing. Maybe some of the persian owners on here use it. There are a couple of people who show so they may be a ble to help.

Re: Grooming Powder

Just plain old talc is what you need - just make sure you blow it all out before the show!!

Re: Grooming Powder

Thanks calismum,

Good tip candyshandy. Doesn't matter if she smells a little talcy then before the show as long as its all rubbed in?

Re: Grooming Powder

If show is on Saturday, talc her on Thurs night and brush through. On Fri night make sure it is all blown out with a dryer otherwise you can get penalised for it!
