Re: Help please

"Pets 4 Care" or "Care 4 your Pets"

"Paws in Mind"

Just spur of the moment ideas Elaine

How exciting this is going to be, I'm so pleased for you..

Re: Help please

Okay what do yu want the name to be....and what is it you do? or wish to be perceived as to be seen to do? you need to be forward thinking too as once you have a name you need to stick to it.

Re: Help please

That's a good one Fran! I guess it's got to be generic and not just cat specific?

I would imagine it needs to be friendly, not too much of a cliche but at the same time memorable?

Are you going to have Yellow Pages listing? If so, you DO need to consider alphabetical prominence. What about advertising on the internet . . . Google etc?

Think about who you customers are and how they will reach you and this will all give you pointers. Is word of mouth going to be a key feature in how you get your clients? Do you happy clients know this? Tell them you'd like them to tell their friends!

I will have a think over the weekend and early part of next week and post or drop you an email.

I like Fran's suggestion! Also, what about:

Special Care Pet Sitting/Walking
Au Pair Cat/Dog Care

Re: Help please

Thanx guys, some absolutely fab suggestions there.
Right now i have the two bordeaux's on a thursday for two hours. Liz has a few dogs lined up for me too but I have yet to talk to the owners about what exactly they want etc. I will be a pet sitter/dog walker. I can do small animals, cats, dogs and birds. I can do fish as long as the owner leaves direct instructions. I hope to do a course on fish at some point soon and I will be getting some indepth training on birds from a lovely woman who breeds/rescues birds of all kinds.
I will be advertising in the yellow pages and joining NARP. Am currently looking for a van and will also advertise on there. I would like for now to start getting fliers out to let people know of my existance and when I will be in full time operation.
I also want to do a T touch course but cannt find anything up in Scotland. I also quite fancy one of the Jan Fennel courses but they are quite pricey.
Anyway these are all things I can do when work is slow. The idea being that I get as much different things under my belt, grooming would be good too, so that I am not short of work.
