Bulbs

Has everyone planted their bulbs or have you still got some to go? I have only because I lost the plot half way through.

And has anyone planted bulbs in tubs? I've done layers this year - exciting eh? Karen

Re: Bulbs

I left my bulbs in the garden from last year so hope they are going to do as well this time.
I have planted some in tubs too.....mixed ones and in layers. I usually plant some tubs of tulips as well with winter pansies on top.
Last year I planted some dwarf irises in clumps in the rockery.....they lasted 1 day as the perishing slugs/snails stripped all the flowers and leaves

Re: Bulbs

Well PK it's like this. You go to your local garden centre and buy things like onions. Only pretty flowers grow from them, you get all sizes of "onions". You then buy a Trowel to dig little holes in the earth to plant the onions in ( a spoon will do though) Then whren spring has sprung (cats have matted again) and the birds are VERY noisey you have pretty little flowers in your garden. (thats only if your horse hasn't taken a fancy to them first)
