11.00pm + phone calls

Well I have just decided what I do not like about being acp volunteer people who ring me at 11.20pm and ask calm a you like for a neuturing voucher like its the most normal thing in the World....to ring someone at that time of night.

Because the calls come through to a landline in my home I can't switch them off (wouldn't anyhow) but this is the 2nd person in 3 days to phone late at night the other one rang at 1.10am.... ...I woke up when I heard the phone but they were leaving a message when I got to the phone so did not speak to them. Have since rung them back and did say the calls were put through to volunteers and maybe 1.00pm + was not a good time to make calls.

The person who just phoned tonight rang yesterday I have been trying to get back to them ever since leaving messages on their machine.....so they decided to ring back tonight.....bet I can't get them in daylight hours.

Ah well moan over and I am off back to bed.

Night all

Some people appear to have no consideration Kazz

Is there any way you can add "calls between ? am and ? pm only, please" next to wherever they they get your contact number from?

Re: 11.00pm + phone calls

I would never ring up for anything at that time. The cats protecion person in my area also works and if she isnt in she is usualy out picking up or delivering a cat. Anyway i hope you got some sleep and no more midnight phone calls either

Very very inconsiderate. I let the answering machine take any calls after 11 pm. Good idea about putting the calling times on your form, but the jerks will ignore it anyway! Bah humbug!

Re: 11.00pm + phone calls

It never fails to amaze me that other folks just don't think that people they 'need' to talk to may not welcome a call from them at that time of night.

I used to look after my friends kennel business to let her go on holiday. I was gob smacked at the phone calls after 10 at night.
'do you have any pups for sale?',
'do you have any space - we're leaving tomorrow',

and the best one ever -
'my puppy chews the legs of the table, can you give me any advice'.

Did we sell this puppy to them? - no
Was it a boarder we knew? - no
Did we know them at all - no

I fully sympathise with you kazz, and I only done that two weeks a year for around 8 years!

Rant away, people are fools sometimes.

How inconsiderate of the people

Suggestion: How about taking the phone off the hook after a set time?

It annoys the hell out of me too....grrrrr. I actually turn the ringer off my CP phone most of the time & then it always goes to answerphone and I won't answer my mobile after about 9.30pm. People are so rude!

Re: 11.00pm + phone calls

Well my after 11 caller is back....just rang again....and again got me out of bed. Not good have things to do tomorrow I tried today as well and left a message (answer machine now empty I assume as not just a click) saying its "Karen SB CP I return calls between 9am -7pm" but seems they have ignored this and rung just at 11.35pm I am tempted to ring them back now they have woken me up but I am to annoyed.
I'll try them again tomorrow if I get chance otherwise its Friday for them. Wouldn't mind but its the landline theya re ringing on their mobile is switched off ....Aghhhh
