Well i have to say in all the years of cats i dont think there is an average.A lot depends on the female at the time of mating.4/5 is a nice size,but we have had 3 litters of 9 from persians and one of those is a tiny mum.Ive now had 2 litters of 10 and the parents were mother a daughter and all kits were white.
I would suspect that if shes going in her box it wont be to long ,however you can never tell as each cat is different and each pregnancy can be different.

9 or 10 OMG I was thinking 3 or 4. Maybe I won't be keeping them all then!! I have a home for one, the receptionist at my vets is having one. She has now decided not to be in her box and is on the settee with me! She's going to keep me guessing

She had 7 pups all chocolate. They are 5 weeks old.
