Poem to my cats

My two cats are getting on now they are both in their 20's Oscar and Cleo and today I sat and wrote this for them as I can't think where the years have gone.

I remember the first day you came you could fit in my hand

I remember the first time you hunted for mice in preference to canned

I remember the days you tried to remain aloof

I remember the days when you got stuck on the roof

I remember the nights you purred me to sleep

I remember the days you played with my feet

I remember our “talks” as we sat in the sun

I remember our days as you stalked me for fun

I remember the times you pretended to hide

I remember the times you sat by my side

I remember the times your "food" tried run

I remember the days with a mouse on the run

I remember your call

I’ll remember it all

Dedicated to cats and their people everywhere

Re: Poem to my cats

Thanks all.

And I must say I rarely write poems the last was for my dog Gyp - who we lost younger than we should have due to illness.

We'd still like to hear a doggie poem Kazz, if you can remember it.
