Re: Saturday

Good morning pamela and all to follow.Had a wonderfully lazy Saturday here. The results of my kidney scan and blood tests have revealed some renal damage and I am being referred to a specialist. It is linked to my diabetes, which is under control. Anyway, I'm feeling much better. Thanks for all your kind wishes. I hope your chest x ray went well fecto's mum. Angieh, that calligram sounds wonderful. Clever you. What a great walk you did pamela. How uplifting to see the wild creatures roaming free.Hope everyone has a long, lazy Saturday, doing what they enjoy. I'm off to watch "Call the Midwife " on TV.

Re: Saturday

Morning Pamela and evening Dinky! What a change in the weather here - bright and sunny, quite breezy. We are off out with the dogs to meet up with our dog trainer and others at Butser Hill and then on to the pub for the first committee meeting for our June dog show.

Pamela - if today was tomorrow, you would have been up since 4.00 am!!! I think a wee snooze is in order. Lucky you seeing a heron.

Dinky, glad you are feeling better, that's a step forward. Hope you enjoy Call the Midwife, I have loved those series - we've had 3 in UK. Which one are you on in NZ?

Have a grand Saturday all.

Re: Saturday

Moring all.

Nice and early for the daily it might be said.

Bright here too a bit of a concern last night we had a sudden thunderstorm out of nowhere the thunder and lightening was right over the house and Bella freaked so much so I thought she was going to choke she could not get control of her panicked breathing for a second or too I needed to tug her collar to make her gulp. But she reverted back to okay and was out for her 9pm walk.

Off out today to get some compost from the "old fashioned" garden centre as I call it they make it themselves tonnes of it need to top up the front garden.
Also going to pop into Asda to look at their glasses can't see anything I like at Boots or spec savers. I am going varifocals.
Need to get my eyebrows threaded but may leave that till Monday.
Off out with Bella again shortly too. Having roast chicken for dinner tonight
Dad is out sorting the shed - yet again.

Pamela I hope you enjoyed your "nanny nap" so to speak why were you up at 5am??????
Dinky It always seems weird when you have had the day we are yet to live through already - sorry to hear about your health hope it is not as bad as it sounds. I like call the midwife have you read the books? There is another book called "Sisters of the East End" by Helen Batten which is the real stories of the sisters who inspired the book Call the midwife. I enjoyed that more I think than the midwife books.
Angie Organising the June show already how the time flies. Hope you all enjoy your walk and your visit to the pub too.

Right have to go had a phone call in the middle of posting this so if anyone else has snuck in HAVE A GOOD DAY catch you later alligators.

Shelley HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your youngest son. Buffet sounds lovely not been to one of those for a while. How is your house guest going? and when are you off to the van again, seems a while or am I away with the fairies again.

I have just popped the TV on and watching with stunned silence the TV reality (Lord knows whose reality) of Toddlers and Tiara's some of those children don't stand a chance of any manners at all and SOME of the parents/grandparents WOW

Re: Saturday

Afternoon folks. Just been to our local craft fair. Some lovely things. Bought a little crocheted owl for my niece's birthday. Hope your kidney damage isn't too bad Dinky. OH is diabetic and has only 24% kidney function but is fit as a fiddle. Love seeing wildlife when we are out and about. Seeing deer in the wild is beautiful. Used to see red deer peeping out of the trees when I was shepherding on Scottish Borders. Kazz we had that thunderstorm too, twice!. They never mentioned that on the weather. Hope Bella has recovered. Gorgeous day here, just put load of washing out, blowing like mad but warm. Hurrah!

Re: Saturday

Evening all, hope you are all well.
Overcast and damp here today although not unpleasant. Been a busy busy week and I have Raynes mum staying over this weekend, so we were up bright and early this morning for a good old romp over the dunes. Sally doesn't get to the beach much and she is aggressive towards small dogs. So yesterday I did a little training with her just to make sure her recall was good which it was. When we went out this morning I put "I need space" vests on both dogs and headed up onto the dunes. I love that walk, damned near kills me but its a good way of avoiding other dogs as not too many others do it, preferring to head straight for the beach, so I tend to avoid the beach unless I can see from the top of the dunes that it is empty.
Sally and Rayne had a blast.

Re: Saturday

Just about tucking myself in here for a Saturday chat.
It's been super Saturday weather, went for a walk around the park, did my shopping and then hung out washing and visited the cemetery. Chatted with my cousin on the phone and made a lovely pasta and sauce supper which I've had with a glass of red. Wow!

It's always better when the sun shines Glad to hear that all of you and your fur friends are doing well.

DON"T FORGET TO PUT YOUR CLOCKS ON ONE HOUR TONIGHT !!!
