Yearly Vaccinations...

Just wondered what everyones thoughts were on having cats vaccinated yearly. With all the information that's around with regard to health issues following yearly vaccinations I wanted to know if anyone has changed their views and stopped having their cats vaccinated. Having had two cats of my own that were only ever vaccinated as kittens and then didn't have any more after that...regularly went into the garden like most cats do...they had no health issues over the years and both died of old age related things and lived until 21 and 25 years of age. Where as my Mother in laws cat has yearly vaccinations and is always at the vet for things like gastro-enteritis etc. If I decided to get another cat I would do the same again and only have the kitten vaccinations. What would/do you do? Thanks

Well, I have 3 indoor only cats who have never been vaccinated and don't plan on ever doing them. If they were going out I probably would have them done for the first few years but not after that.

Mine have always been indoors only, outside only harnessed, and only had kitten shots...all lived to ripe old ages!

Sasha and Rosie no longer have their vaccinations, but I have decided to keep letting Misty have them as he is such a fighter. Sidney is probably only 2 so he will have them for a couple more years and that's it.
