I know that people who are "scared" of cats (eg. my dad) attracted them because, as I understand it, those people give off a certain pheromone, but I have no idea about people who love cats and who are obviously loved by cats - my uncle Dennis for example (now sadly passed away).
I'm not sure what it is! I mean, I'm a cat lover and always have been, but strange cats don't just come up to me like they do to my OH. However, saying that, there's a stray at work that came over to me last night while I was waiting for OH to come get me (everyone else had already left the area I was waiting in) and this cat went mad for strokes and cuddles LOL head butting my leg, trying to leap into my lap, INSISTING I kept petting!

Anyway, OH has always had this thing with cats.....they come up to him all the time! Just going for a walk down a street he's bound to have a cat from every other house run out their gate to greet him LOL! Maybe he keeps a pocketful of cat food and hasn't told me LOL!

Now that's a thought! It certainly seems plausible, doesn't it?

It's certainly possible - but can it be the same pheromone that attracts to people who don't like cats?

Maybe people who fear/don't like cats give off another pheromone that's interesting to the cat...they don't understand why the person is repelled by them ??
