Monty's been sick - any advice?

Monty (10 weeks old) threw up on OH legs' yesterday afternoon. Undigested food only. This morning he has thrown up again - I would say partially digested kibble. There is nothing "nasty" to be seen in the vomit - only food. Should I be worried in view of his age? Could it be that his puppy food is already becoming too rich for him??

The only thing different is that we gave him his first Advocate flea/wormer spot on yesterday morning. It is the correct dose for his weight, but could this be a reaction. He seems rather sorry for himself.

Any advice would be welcome. Concerned new mum here!

I'd give the vet a ring just in case, I'm sure it's probably ok but he's done it twice now so it may well be a reaction to the Advocate in which case the vet will know how common that is. I forget Angie, has he recently had any vaccs as quite a few puppies react to them in this way. Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be fine the main worry when they vomit is if they become dehydrated.

i think it sounds as if its a reaction to his food rather than the spot on, it is odd he isnt sick every time he eats though. did he get jags this week? i think if he was sick again tomorrow i would take him to the vets. poor wee pup!

Thanks - he had his first jab on 28 April and is due his 2nd this coming Thursday. He didn't seem to have any reaction to the first jab. He just isn't "right", although he has been naughty this afternoon which is quite normal of course!

Could it be that he simply ate too fast and then vomited?
Or maybe he ate something in the garden that didn't agree with him?
Hope he's okay!

No, it was a while after he'd eaten Tink. He may have eaten something in the garden .... he seems very keen to try everything he sees. He was chewing an empty snail shell yesterday afternoon before the 1st upchuck.

You will get used to pups/dogs upchucking......its common.

I think see how he is and if it puts your mind a rest if he does it again give the vet a ring see if is a reaction to the advocate....could just the the snail shell....or whatever he has eaten you have not seen...he is a dog not a cat and therefore will eat anything regardless of how disgusting.

If you are feeding his kibble dry, try soaking a couple of the feeds soaked

Angie dont let him near snails or slugs -they can pass on nasty things to dogs and puppies
