Sunday Daily.

Good morning everyone. Sunday evening here and it's raining out now after a nice warmish day.I don't think the forecast is too good for tomorrow either.

I've had a bad couple of days unfortunately. Dickens has not been good again and in a lot of pain. I bought a new bed base for my mattress and had it delivered on Thursday. I had previously had my mattress on the floor because Willow, in her last months, hadn't been able to jump up on my bed, and as she'd always slept with me, I just got rid of the bed base. which enabled her to get on the mattress easily .Anyway, a delivery guy bought round the base and unfortunately Dickens saw him and freaked out.The next day, he couldn't go to the toilet again at all. I took him to the vet on Saturday and he was put back on the same pills as before plus two more lots of pain meds. Tonight he is a bit better and in much less pain AND he has done a small wee in the litter box. Still VERY nervous. The vet advised to put him on RC Calm biscuits, so will probably put them all on them. Just so very expensive, especially as Dickens will have to be on the pills for life now.

Still more trouble ! I have moderate osteoarthritis in both knees (according to the x-rays) and my doctor has booked me into an osteoarthritis course .starting next Wednesday, which includes a series of specific exercises and a talk at each session. It's run over 8 2 hour sessions, after which time I am eligible to see a specialist at the hospital. I'm hoping the course helps.Sounds like fun anyway.

AND again, more trouble. We now have covid cases here in Christchurch after a year without any.Just my luck, one of the places of interest where a covid positive case visited four days ago is my local supermarket, and of course, as fate would have it, Janna and I were there on the same date and at the exact same time as the covid case was.We are meant to monitor ourselves for any symptoms for 14 days and if at all unwell, get tested. We are both feeling OK and are double vaccinated, so I think all will be fine.

Well that's my news. I must say it's so nice sleeping in a proper bed again. I feel so high up. However I'd gladly sleep on the floor again if it meant I could have Willow back with me. I'm going to have to think very hard about taking on Ruby the mastiff shortly, with Dickens being the way he is. Ruby has been bought up with a cat, but my five are strangers to her and mastiffs are NOT cat friendly at all. Also I can't risk Dickens becoming stressed, as I hate seeing him like this.

PAMELA, I think you'll have your new car by now. I bet it's lovely and you'll enjoy driving it.You certainly needed a car anyway. I hope you passed your college assessment with flying colours. Yes, the ducks are still coming to be fed 2x a day. The wee wild birds aren't afraid of them at all. I'm hoping the magpies will return again this year as they're so beautiful. How is Harris now ? I hope he's feeling better and isn't continuing to wake you at night.

SHELLEY, you'll be back home again now, I think. I hope you had a great time and managed to get into the sea. You'll be busy planning your next trip away. I haven't done any more cleaning of the baby doll as I've been busy with Dickens, but must get on to it. I'm going to have to take her apart because I'll be using my Genesis heat set paints to reborn her and I can't put her cloth body into the oven . Gotta be careful I don't destroy her moving mechanism too. I wish you lived here so you could advise me. Life is indeed full of problems !

YOLA, hope all is well with you and your family. Hopefully your eye is continuing to heal well and you're not too busy at work.

Well, that's it from me." Prodical Son" on TV tonight ,which I love.

Have a great Sunday everyone.
