They're here

The kittens have arrived - they are beautiful, but we have now found out that there were 6 in the litter & 3 have already been homed, so we have got mom & only 3 kittens. Problem is they can't be 6 weeks old. We were told they are about 6 weeks, but I think they are 4 weeks. I know what kittens are like & I've seen lots of litters & they look & act much younger than 6 weeks, although they all look in good health (except fleas) Mom is lovely - only young, but seems happy. She was not left at the vets to be neutered as she needs to finish rearing her babies first.
mom is quite a pale tabby
2 kittens are ginger & white & other is tabby & white. all boys.

Dad arrived later - he is lovely. Big ginger & white, friendly fella. He's to be neutered tomorrow.

Hope the other 3 babies are ok.

Re: They're here

Thats awfully young - but nothing you can do now I got my old cat Archie at 4 weeks - he was about to be "drowned" by the husband when I got there he had already drowned his three littermates Archie never really seemed to get over it being removed from Mom so young - mind you that may have been the bad life his Mom had led before he was born and after - as you can imagine.

Oddly enough his Mom went missing a week after I got Archie - no idea where she went but a friend of mine had a beautiful tabby cat for the next 13 years that looked just like Archie's Mom - odd that.

Archie died aged 10 months under the wheels of a car.

I am sure you will make sure the three you have plus Mom and Dad are happy,

Re: They're here

Yes I will try to get some pics tomorrow of the little cuties.
They all have wonderful temperaments. Dad is really lovely. Proper Tom cat, looks like he's travelled a few miles in his time. really affectionate.
Mom is a darling who loves her babies, I'm sad about the others but there's nothing at all we can do - we tried to say they need their mommy - but

They sound gorgeous Smudgley but so young. It's nice that Mom and dad seem unperturbed by the move.....let's hope they all settle in well.

Re: They're here

Mom & Dad are named - so I will keep their names.
Dad is called Tigger & Mom is called Whiskas.

The boys I want to call them all names starting with A, like we do with all the Guide Dog pups -
