Hi ,i show dogs also and have taken up cat showing. The entries are basically the same.Your cat is vetted in by a vet and if they find ear mites you are dissqualified and you need to take with you full vaccination with you. They dont do that with the dogs. The only thing about cat shows i dont like is the pens are small and you have to leave while judging takes place.Graet if its a saturday as you can go to nearest town and shop, but ive been in the middle of no where and had to sit in the car for hours.Haveing said that its great fun ,dont take it to seriously(enjoy for what it is) and like dog shows you need a thick skin Sam and the gang |

Yes you have to leave while judging goes on.your not allowed to watch. However your cats are very safe because of all the stewards there. There shouldnt be anyone else in the show when judging is going on so they know who shouldnt be there.Thats the only down side to showing cats, totally different to dogs Sam |

it is strict, but its there for the saftey of the cats and the exhibitor. Its a shame there not like it with the dogs.No proof of vaccination or vetting in at dog shows. And dogs have been stolen from dog shows. |
