I suspect that's a word lover.

Re: Quiz night 20 Jan

I'll piggyback word lover - I wouldn't think it would be a lover of logs (although I have been this winter - wouldn't be without my log burner) or a lover of logos ...................... !

Re: Quiz night 20 Jan

Alison suggests logs (with tongue in cheek)

She also said she can be a temp catsey person as she has a cat!!

Saffie is a tiny DSH white with tabby. Aged 10.

I'd never heard of it DM, I do like cheese so would be a new taste to try. Think I'd prefer the younger version though.

Re: Quiz night 20 Jan

DM - how do you keep up with dial up - this is driving me mad!!!!

I'm obviously v spoiled with my broadband.

angieh - I have tried to talk her into joining a few times - no joy. But I will get a pic of Saffie at some point and post it - she is one of the most petite cats I have met.
Lover of words is correct -
Main Entry: logophile
Part of Speech: n
Definition: a word lover or word buff
Etymology: Greek logos 'speech' + -phile 'friend, lover'

Re: Quiz night 20 Jan

I remembered that from my one year of Greek. Love to see Saffie!

You learn to live with dial up if it's all you're used to!

Q5 - What breed of dog is known as the Carriage Dog (because they were trained to run with horse-drawn carriages as guard dogs)?
