How to get the most exercise from your daily doggy walk!

I know this idea's been around for eons but it's great for when:

1) Your dear old dog just can't walk as far as (s)he used to but you still would like him/her to feel (s)he is still enjoying a favourite walk.

2) You want to take your dog on a long bike ride somewhere really beautiful and then park up, lock the bike and enjoy the new scenery (which would have been otherwise impossible to access with your dog via car or walking).

3) Your exercise and energy levels simply exceed that of your dog, (walk included).

The pictures just made me smile ..

good idea for transporting dogs to places to far away or for dogs who can't walk too far.
We went to a doggy event and saw a little dog with wheels strapped on, it had some spinal damage and had lost the use of it's back legs. It could fairly zip around.

Awwww - I wonder if there is a human version? When the owner is less able than the dog, could the dog pull a little cart with the owner in??? (Sorry!)

Thinking of the Leonburgers that we have seen it might well be a possibility!

We met a couple with a Mini Schnauzer yesterday on our walk. This particular dog was quite a lot smaller than our Monty and was just over 2 years old. The owners said that 6/7 miles was his limit.
