Re: Merlin

What a pretty tree - and in memory of a lovely cat.

Is that your allotment? It looks about as windswept as ours!!

That is such a lovely gesture for Merlin, and it is a lovely tree that I am sure will do really well there Xxx.

Re: Merlin

Merlin's casket

This pretty little casket arrived yesterday and Merlin's ashes are safely inside. I am not sure whether to put the casket on the bookshelves in the lounge, where Merlin loved to be with us, or here in the study/office where we will be together more. I am sure that Merlin and I will decide what's best in time.

Re: Merlin

That's beautiful Angie.. I have Tinky's in my bedroom on the dresser...because he slept with me every night, but i have wonder if i whould put it elsewhere in the house...he had a few favorite places he likes to snooze!..I was amazed when Tinky came home how "small" he was... but then again he did lose a back leg at the pelvis

Re: Merlin

Yes, I was amazed by the small bag which was contained in a bigger cardboard box, which was again in an even bigger box. It confused me when I was looking for caskets as I thought I'd never fit it all in. It seemed somehow indelicate to investigate before putting him in his final casket. A bit silly, I know.

Re: Merlin

How nice. I love my two departed pusses being curled up close to me, and I'm sure you'll feel Merlin's warmth around you too.

I don't have the box bit on my caskets which makes them a little unstable (Myshka loves snuggling up to sleep against them) and I'm always a little worried they'll shoot off the dresser

And yes, I too was surprised at how small the 'sleeping kitties' were. But I don't suppose cats' ashes take up that much space

Re: Merlin

OH sealed the lid of the casket with some wood glue, so even if it does get knocked off a shelf, Merlin will remain safely inside.
