Re: Summer pots/baskets etc

I am thinking about Summer pots .............. not doing hanging baskets this year. Was thinking about mangers, but, maybe, bit late perhaps.

I have fuchsias and brachycomes and lavender. Think I said somewhere else that I need to think about height, not sure what yet though. I can feel a nursery visit coming on!

I'm off down to Aldi on monday to pick up some of their mixed plants, bunging them in the hanging baskets, and sitting back to see what happens

Re: Summer pots/baskets etc

Everything is behind this year, what with the weather and my arm being out of use for a while. However, I've managed to get one of my hanging baskets done this afternoon, didn't plan what went into it, I just chose something from the plants I already have ....... so there are fuchsia, upright geranium, trailing geranium, busy lizzies, petunias, brachycombe, bacopa, trailing lobelia ..... and another trailer I don't recall the name of atm!

Good thread Kazz - it's lovely to see other members displays

I'm not doing baskets this year. Will be concentrating on some annuals in the tubs. Still far too cold up here to be buying. Will wait a week or so and hope it warms up a bit.

I don't do baskets: front faces North and too shady for flowering annuals; back yard really no place to hang them. But I always love seeing your displays, look forward to them.

Spent £43 at the garden centre today. Bought some petunias, bizzy lizzies, nicotiana, a couple of clematis and a few other bits and bobs. Hope to plant baskets and tubs in the next few days.
